What is compounded tirzepatide?
Tirzepatide acts on two receptors, GLP-1 and GIP, rather than one. It is taken as a once-weekly injection. Compounded tirzepatide is prepared for an individual patient by a state-licensed 503A compounding pharmacy rather than manufactured as a brand-name product.
What happens if I'm not approved?
You are not charged for medication. Your card is authorised at checkout and charged only when your pharmacy ships. If a physician decides the medication is not appropriate for you, nothing is taken.
Important safety information and side effects
Tirzepatide is not appropriate for everyone. Do not use it if you or a family member have had medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation and abdominal pain. Serious side effects can include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, kidney injury and allergic reactions. Tell your provider about every medication you take, particularly insulin or sulfonylureas.
