HIPAA and your health information.

Last updated: September 6, 2026

If you are looking for your Notice of Privacy Practices, it does not come from GoProLean. It comes from the clinician who treats you, and you receive it when you begin your intake. This page explains why, and how to get a copy.

Your medical record belongs to your clinician

GoProLean is a platform, not a medical practice. The licensed clinicians and professional entities who evaluate and treat you are covered entities under HIPAA. Your intake answers, photographs, clinical messages, prescriptions and treatment records are protected health information held by them, not by us.

Each of them issues its own Notice of Privacy Practices. That document describes how they use and disclose your health information and the rights you have over it — to see your record, request corrections, ask for an accounting of disclosures, request restrictions on how your information is shared, ask to be contacted a particular way, and complain without being retaliated against. Your pharmacy issues its own notice as well.

How you receive it

You are given the notice when you begin your intake, before you are treated.

To get another copy, sign in at member.goprolean.com and ask through the portal, or email support@goprolean.com and we will request it for you.

If you have not started an intake and want to read it first, email support@goprolean.com and we will ask your prospective clinician’s practice to send it to you.

We do not publish the notice on this website. It belongs to the clinicians, they revise it when they need to, and a copy hosted here would eventually be out of date. Getting it from them means getting the version that is actually in force.

What GoProLean does

GoProLean is operated by Prolean Wellness Management LLC. We provide the technology and administrative platform that connects you with those clinicians and pharmacies. Where we handle protected health information on their behalf, we do so as a business associate under a written Business Associate Agreement, and we may use and disclose that information only as that agreement and HIPAA permit.

We do not make clinical decisions, and using our website does not create a doctor–patient relationship with us.

Information that is not part of your medical record

Some of what we collect is not protected health information — the pages you visit on our public website, your account and contact details, and your order history. How we handle that is set out in our Privacy Policy, and, for Washington residents, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.
