Important safety information and side effects
Semaglutide is not appropriate for everyone. Do not use it if you or a family member have had medullary thyroid carcinoma or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation and abdominal pain. Serious side effects can include pancreatitis, gallbladder problems, kidney injury and allergic reactions. Tell your provider about every medication you take, particularly insulin or sulfonylureas.
